Seasonal lights now illuminate the Old Town Hall and gazebo, creating a cheerful display for all to enjoy. We encourage everyone to stop by and take in the festive atmosphere. We hope it adds a little extra brightness to your holiday season!

Santa Delivery Program Success!

This holiday season, Northfield Center Township was filled with extra cheer as Santa surprised families with special home visits across the community. Special thanks to the Macedonia Fire Department, Summit County Sheriff’s Office, and township staff who helped make this cherished tradition possible and brought smiles to children and families throughout the community.

That's a wrap on leaf pick up!

Over the past six weeks, our Service Department worked diligently to pick up leaves throughout every neighborhood in Northfield Center Township, completing six full rounds of collection.

We want to extend a sincere thank-you to our dedicated crew for their hard work, long hours, and commitment to keeping our community clean and safe. We also appreciate residents for helping make the process smooth by preparing their leaves and staying patient during this busy season.

Keeping our Roads Safe this Winter!

With winter weather upon us, our Service Department has been actively managing snow and ice across all neighborhoods in Northfield Center Township. Their skill and commitment ensure that our roads remain passable and safer during winter storms, and we are grateful for the team's dependable work throughout the season. We also want to thank our residents for slowing down, staying alert, and giving our plow drivers the room they need to operate—your cooperation truly makes a difference.

Important Reminder for Residents: Snow Parking Ban
We want to remind everyone that if there is a prediction of 2 inches or more of snowfall, a snow parking ban will be in effect.

No street parking with 2 inches or more snowfall in order to ensure safe and efficient snow removal for our plows. Residents must make arrangements to park vehicles off the street during these times to avoid any potential fines or towing.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our streets safe and accessible for everyone!

Comprehensive Plan Update – Request for Qualifications

The Northfield Center Township Board of Trustees is currently reviewing nine proposals submitted by various planning and consulting firms as part of the effort to update the community’s comprehensive plan. Throughout this process, the Board of Trustees as well as the township’s zoning boards are being included to ensure that land-use considerations, development priorities, and community goals are aligned across all levels of local planning. A comprehensive plan is vital to any township because it provides a long-term, strategic roadmap for managing growth, guiding infrastructure investment, and preserving community character. By evaluating each proposal carefully and collaboratively, the board hopes to select the firm that best fits Northfield Center Township’s needs, with a final decision anticipated in early 2026.

Thank you to all of our residents for staying engaged, following guidelines, and helping make Northfield Center Township a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained community. We appreciate your cooperation and support as we continue to address important projects, keep our neighborhoods safe, and plan for the future. Stay connected with us for updates, and here’s to a great end to the year in Northfield Center!
