Winter is Here and Christmas Break

is on its way!

We made it through the rain, and the snow has arrived! The skiing is fantastic, and our trails are ready for you to enjoy. Our team has been hard at work grooming with the snowmobiles and Ginzus to ensure great conditions, and the PB100 even made an appearance last week to take things to the next level. Peter and Connel worked some magic to retrofit a compact bar to the machine to add even more options to our grooming practices.

This is just the beginning of what is shaping up to be an awesome winter season. We are thrilled to announce that we will be open throughout the Christmas Break, so bring your family and friends to experience the magic of skiing at Caledonia Nordic Ski Club.

Some Really Successful Events

We are pleased to share that our recent Santa Ski and Open Mic Night were a resounding success! A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the amazing volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to make these events truly special.

From creating a festive and fun atmosphere for the Santa Ski to ensuring the Open Mic Night was filled with talent and cheer, your efforts brought our community together for unforgettable experiences. These events wouldn’t have been possible without your hard work and enthusiasm.

December 29: Program Information and Youth Ski Free Day

Mark your calendars for December 29 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM! Our Program Coordinator will be on-site to share information about all of our Skills Development Programs this season.

We still have space available for Bunny Rabbits and Jack Rabbits, and this is a perfect opportunity for parents to register their children. These programs are a fantastic way for kids to learn new skills, stay active, and have fun on skis.

Kids ski for free on this day! (Day passes and rentals). Bring your child out to try skiing, explore everything we have to offer, and learn more about how they can join in the fun this winter. We hope to see even more kids on skis this season!

Get Ready for the Return of the

Grand Tour of Caledonia!

We are excited to announce that the Grand Tour of Caledonia is back for another season. With fantastic courses designed for skiers of all abilities, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the trails and celebrate our vibrant skiing community.

Sawmill Pink Ribbons

We would like to address a rumour that has been circulating about the pink ribbons on Sawmill Loop. Some members have noticed these ribbons and assumed they marked trees slated for removal. This is not the case.

While we initially considered limbing some trees to open up the canopy—allowing more snow to collect and reducing early melt—we have since decided not to proceed with this work. The pink ribbons will be removed in the near future.
