Join us this Thursday for more women's history . . . .

Join us as Julie Tabberer, Manager of the Grand Rapids History Center and Treasurer of the Greater Grand Rapids Women’s History Council shares how Helen Claytor’s leadership and activism transformed the YWCA from a place where women could have lunch together without being escorted by a man to an organization committed to eliminating racism and empowering women and girls.

Deb O'Leary, YWCA Board President will talk about the YWCA’s mission today and what they have planned for the future. Refreshments and cake will be provided.

Visit Olli at Aquinas for details on attending Prof. Judy Whipps' presentation on "The 'First Lady of Negro America,'" Mary MacLeod Bethune on April 7th from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Bethune, a trailblazing African American educator, political activist, and advocate for civil rights, was one of the most prominent women of her time.
