“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.” –Edith Sitwell

Thank you for all the ways you helped HomeAid provide a warm place to call home for people experiencing homelessness this year. Together with several organizations and many more generous donors, HomeAid Atlanta helped provide needed food items to make this Thanksgiving happier for people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
Our fundraising drive with the Young Professionals Group of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association brought in $1,400, which provided nourishing Thanksgiving meals to women in recovery at Breakthru House. (left photo, below)
Artisan Built Communities donated a carload full of canned and packaged food items for our friends at Making A Way Housing. (center photo, below)
We partnered with David Weekley Homes for their Giving Thanks, Giving Back Thanksgiving Drive to provide turkeys and more for organizations helping people in need. David Weekley Homes' drive brought in 182 turkeys, and close to 3,000 canned/packaged food items! Food was distributed to HomeAid service provider partners Crossroads Community Ministries & Cherokee County Homeless Veterans Program, as well as the Vine City Civic Association. (right photo, below)
