Trash service is suspended the remainder of this week due to landfill closures.
Round Rock Refuse, the City’s residential trash and recycling service provider, has now suspended trash collection for the entire week due to landfill closures. The regular pickup schedule will resume on Monday, Feb. 22, with trash-only service.

Trash service on these days includes the regular “plus 7” item pickup: You can place 7 additional bags or bundles curbside with your bin. Customers who intend to use their regular pickup service to discard tree limbs must bundle the limbs so the bundles are no more than 4 feet in length and weigh 40 pounds or less. The bundle cannot include tree limbs greater than 4 inches in diameter.

Round Rock Refuse will resume its normal recycle pickup schedule beginning March 1. The Recycle Center, located at 310 Deepwood Drive, will be open 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily starting Saturday, Feb. 20. For a full list of accepted items, click here

Brush Recycling Center open starting Saturday for large tree limbs
The City of Round Rock’s Brush Recycling Center, located at 310 Deepwood Drive, will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays beginning Saturday, Feb. 20 to accept tree limbs.

If you need to dispose of limbs larger than what is accepted in regular pickup (see above), and are unable to take them to the Brush Recycling Center, the City of Round Rock is currently working on a future pickup plan; however, based on experience from past weather events, it could take up to a month or more before curbside pickup of those items could take place. Do not place these large tree limbs at the curb until pickup times are announced.

Warming center now closed
The City of Round Rock's warming center at the Baca Center closed Thursday evening due to the decrease in attendance and expected warmer temperatures today and this weekend. The center served a total of 41 individuals while it was open. For a list of other nearby open shelters and warming centers, visit the Austin Disaster Relief Network's Winter Storm Shelters page or call the Williamson County warming centers hotline at 512-943-1700.

Stay up to date
