Winthrop Square Park Reborn

The newly renovated Winthrop Square Park is now open to the public! Undertaken by MP Boston, the renovation represents one of the capstones to the Winthrop Center project. Said MP Boston Principal Kathleen MacNeil, who oversaw the park renovation, "Although I am proud of our skyscrapers, I am equally proud of the greenspaces we have brought to the pedestrian areas of Downtown Crossing." (On upper Franklin Street, MP Boston also created Tontine Crescent Plaza along with the Steps Plaza.)

Designed by Ground, Inc., the Winthrop Square Park fountain currently operates from 8 am-8 pm, and is slated to operate seasonally from approximately May 1-September 30. For fast facts about the renovated Winthrop Square Park and its fountain, please visit here. Enjoy this new island of greenery in the heart of Downtown Boston!

In partnership with the Mayor's Office of Tourism, Sports & Entertainment, the pop-up introduced a nationally-acclaimed, high- energy eatery, while showcasing the potential of an alluring retail vacancy. Special thanks to Farley White for making the location available!
