The newly renovated Winthrop Square Park is now open to the public! Undertaken by MP Boston, the renovation represents one of the capstones to the Winthrop Center project. Said MP Boston Principal Kathleen MacNeil, who oversaw the park renovation, "Although I am proud of our skyscrapers, I am equally proud of the greenspaces we have brought to the pedestrian areas of Downtown Crossing." (On upper Franklin Street, MP Boston also created Tontine Crescent Plaza along with the Steps Plaza.)
Designed by Ground, Inc., the Winthrop Square Park fountain currently operates from 8 am-8 pm, and is slated to operate seasonally from approximately May 1-September 30.
