$850,000 Nyquist Filly Tops Final Day of OBS Spring Sale

A filly by Kentucky Derby-winner Nyquist led the action on Friday, the final day of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Spring Sale, selling for $850,000 to Donato Lanni as agent for Susan Chu's Baoma Corp.

Florida-bred Octane Returns to Arkansas for Oaklawn Handicap

Octane returns to Oaklawn Park from his South Florida base for the $1,250,000 Oaklawn Handicap (G2) in pursuit of his second consecutive graded stakes there. The Arindel homebred became Florida’s newest millionaire in winning the Grade 3 Razorback on Feb. 24 at Oaklawn and will take on 10 other older horses invading from seven different tracks for the mile-and-a-quarter contest.

Through racing Friday, April 19, Spieth was at 4,998 wins. He has one scheduled mount at Tampa Bay Downs on Sunday.
