Honeybee Next Stop on Road to Kentucky Oaks for Undefeated Taken by the Wind

Florida-bred Taken by the Wind takes her unblemished record to Oaklawn Park for Sunday's $750,000 Honeybee Stakes (Grade 3) for 3-year-old fillies in search of points on the Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) Leaderboard.

Souper Zonda Using Sunshine Filly and Turf as Graded Stakes Springboard

Live Oak Plantation homebred Souper Zonda tries to repeat her last out victory in the Sunshine Filly and Mare Turf, this time against Grade 3 fillies and mares in Saturday's $175,000 Honey Fox Stakes at Gulfstream Park.

This “little stinker” at Rivermont Farm is a Florida-bred colt by Brethren out of the stakes-placed Florida-bred mare Sweet Khaleesi, by Maimonides, born February 21. Rivermont purchased Sweet Khaleesi in foal to Brethren for $17,000 in January at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Winter Mixed Sale where she was consigned by breeder Arindel Farm. The colt is the sixth foal produced by Sweet Khaleesi. He has four full siblings to start, all winners, including stakes-placed Florida-breds Mist and Evolution. Sweet Khaleesi has an unraced 2-year-old filly, also by Brethren. The colt’s second dam, Calorie, by Yes It’s True, is a half-sister to Florida-bred stakes-winner Onyx.

Rivermont Farm’s Florida-bred Bucchera stands with her first foal, a Florida-bred colt by Ocala Stud stallion Roadster born on February 25. Also bred by Rivermont Farm, winner Bucchera is by Bucchero out of the unraced A.P. Indy mare Nacho Polo and is a half-sister to stakes-producing Florida-bred Polo Union.

Hades Making All-Weather Course Debut in San Cristobal
