Florida Senator DiCeglie today filed Senate Bill 1564, the Senate companion to House decoupling bill HB 881.

"The FTBOA built Florida's protective framework. A Senate companion is how these bills move, and we are prepared," said Lonny Powell, FTBOA CEO. "Regardless of the confounding provisions, this is decoupling. Alongside our fellow horsemen, breeders, owners, trainers, and industry partners, we have defeated every decoupling attempt. HB 881 and SB 1564 are the latest threats. They will not be the last. And like every threat before, we will oppose them."

First Foal for Mr Fisk is a Filly

MORRISTON, FL-Pleasant Acres Stallions announced the arrival of Mr Fisk's first foal, a healthy filly out of Brass Cat, a daughter Bluegrass Cat. The filly arrived early Friday morning at 3:25 a.m. for breeder Martine Britell of Reddick, Florida.

HISA Announces FTC Approval of Modified Enforcement Rules

LEXINGTON, KY-The Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority announced that proposed changes to its Enforcement Rules (Rule Series 8000) have been officially approved by the Federal Trade Commission. These changes will take effect on Jan. 19, 2026.
