Decoupling Stalled Again, FTBOA Remains Vigilant

OCALA, FL-The Florida Legislature's 2026 regular session concluded today, with decoupling legislation again failing to reach the Governor's desk. HB881 passed the House but companion bill SB1564 never received a hearing in the Senate. A special session is expected to finalize the state budget.

Reliable Great Venezuela Making 2025 Debut in Captiva Island

Set to make her first start since winning the $100,000 Islamorada overnight handicap in November, Great Venezuela will line up against 10 other older fillies and mares, including fellow Florida-bred Karaya, in the $125,000 Captiva Island scheduled for five furlongs on the turf at Gulfstream Park Saturday.
