Florida-bred Forever Souper Faces Dataman Again in Cliff Hanger

Live Oak Plantation's Forever Souper tries to avenge a loss to Dataman in their last encounter as the two geldings face each other again in Saturday's Cliff Hanger at Monmouth Park.


Despite finishing third, a length-and-a-half behind winner Dataman in the $99,000 Henry Clark going a mile on the turf at Laurel on April 20, Forever Souper is the 5-2 favorite on the morning line in the mile-and-a-sixteenth Cliff Hanger on grass. Dataman is the 3-1 second choice.

Judge Revisits Immigration Ruling

FTC Scholarship Deadline is June 15

Florida Thoroughbred Charities, Inc. is the charitable arm of the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association and awards students scholarships that can be applied to any accredited university, college, or technical institution for two to four-year programs. Typically, the scholarships cover the current Fall semester and the following Spring semester. To apply for a scholarship for the upcoming school year, students must submit an application, available at FTBOA.com, by June 15.

Jockey Scott Spieth is approaching a personal milestone of 5,000 Thoroughbred career wins in North America (US and Canada). Through racing Friday, May 24, Spieth was at 4,999 wins. He has three scheduled mounts at Presque Isle Downs on Monday.
