FTHA Sending Support To Oklahoma Tornado Victims

EDITED PRESS RELEASE


HALLANDALE BEACH, FL-The Florida Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association, located at Gulfstream Park, pledged its support to the Thoroughbred Racing Association of Oklahoma after a tornado struck Will Rogers Downs May 27-killing one horse, while injuring and displacing others. There were approximately 150 horses at the track when the tornado hit.

Florida-bred Gabaldon Works Friday Prepping for Royal Ascot

Soldi Stable LLC's Gabaldon breezed four furlongs Friday morning at Palm Meadows in preparation for a start in the Group 2 Norfolk (G2) at Royal Ascot on June 20.


The Jose D’Angelo-trained 2-year-old son of Pleasant Acres Stallions resident Gone Astray, who captured the $100,000 Royal Palm Juvenile at Gulfstream May 11, was timed in :49.35.

Florida-bred Old Chestnut Versus Step Forward Again in Jacques Cartier

Florida-bred Old Chestnut could not catch Step Forward in their last meeting but will get another chance at him in the Grade 3 Jacques Cartier at Woodbine Saturday. Seven 4-year-olds and older will go six furlongs on Woodbine's synthetic main track in the CA$135,000 contest.
