Florida-bred Girvin Filly Sells for $300,000 Late Thursday at Keeneland September

A Florida-bred filly by Girvin garnered a final bid of $300,000 while a Florida-bred filly by Justify sold for $180,000 in later action during Thursday’s fourth session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Florida-bred Sabatini Back on (Synthetic) Track for Ontario Matron

After finishing out of the top three for the first time in her career last out in the Grade 3 Ontario Colleen on grass, Florida-bred Sabatini will return to the synthetic main track at Woodbine for Saturday’s Ontario Matron. The mile-and-a-sixteenth Ontario Matron offers a purse of CA$150,000 and has attracted a full field of 14 fillies and mares, plus one on the also-eligible list.

Keeneland Announces Championship Sale Will Offer Interest in Undefeated Stakes Winner and Breeders' Cup Hopeful Kilwin

LEXINGTON, KY—Keeneland today announced that a 25% fractional interest in the undefeated stakes-winning juvenile filly Kilwin, winner of the $1 million Untapable at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 8, will be sold at the inaugural Keeneland Championship Sale, to be held the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Paddock at Del Mar, site of the 2024 Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Nov. 1-2.

El tejano Douglas Scharbauer, que compró una potra hija de Gun Runner criada en Florida por 500.000 dólares el lunes durante la primera sesión de la venta de yearlings de Keeneland, regresó el jueves para adquirir otra potra criada en Florida, en este caso una hija de Not This Time. Ambas potras fueron criadas por el Bridlewood Farm.
