Florida-bred Hades to Stretch Out in Bourbon Flight

Trainer Joe Orseno hopes added distance will be the key to returning Hades to the winner’s circle Saturday when the Florida-bred gelding runs in the $300,000 Bourbon Flight at a mile-and three-sixteenths. The graded stakes-winning son of Ocala Stud stallion Awesome Slew is the 5-2 second choice on the morning line against five other 3-year-olds.

Florida-bred Souper Quest Favored to Get First Stakes Win in Turf Monster

Live Oak Plantation homebred Souper Quest has been labeled the 5-2 morning line favorite as the Florida-bred colt looks for his first stakes victory in Saturday’s Grade 3 Turf Monster at Parx Racing. A full field of 10 turf sprinters, 3-years-old and older, plus four on the also-eligible list, will go five furlongs in pursuit of the winner’s share of the $250,000 purse in the Turf Monster.
