Florida-bred Top Blue Makes Second Start in White Clay Creek

Top Blue, a winner of a maiden special weight in her only career start, is set for the $100,000 White Clay Creek against nine other 2-year-old fillies at Delaware Park Friday.


Trained by Michael Matz for Baoma Corp., Top Blue won by a length-and-a-half against special weight maiden fillies at Delaware Park on Aug. 2 and extends to a mile in the White Clay Creek after her five-and-a-half furlong debut.

October 12

1968 - Top Knight, who was owned and bred by Steven B. Wilson, wins the Champagne at Belmont Park. It was his third straight stakes victory after winning the Hopeful at Saratoga in his second start and the Futurity at Belmont Park.


1968 - On the same day, Process Shot , bred by Mrs. M.E. Tippett and owned by Elberon Farm, remains undefeated with her fifth career victory in the Mermaid at Atlantic City Race Course.
