Florida-bred Strategic Risk tries to recuperate off a poor outing last out in the Grade 3 Southwest and take the next step on the Road to the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (G1) in Sunday's $1 million, Grade 2 Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn Park.

Flood Zone Takes Tampa Bay Downs Allowance

Wathan Racing's Flood Zone, the Florida-bred winner of last year's Grade 3 Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct, won the ninth race at Tampa Bay Downs Saturday, a second condition, $32,000 optional claiming going seven furlongs.

Undefeated Florida-bred Taken by the Wind gallops at Oaklawn Park Saturday morning in preparation for Sunday’s Grade 3 Honeybee Stakes. Trained by Ken McPeek for Magdalena Racing, Terry Bradshaw, Graham Leveston and Rassi Stable and bred by Courtney L. Meagher of Citra, Florida, Taken by the Wind looks to solidify her status as a leading contender for the Grade 1 Longines Kentucky Oaks to be run at Churchill Downs on May 1.
