HALLANDALE BEACH, FL-Orlyana Farm's Great Venezuela showed up yet again Saturday at Gulfstream Park, where the ultra-consistent 4-year-old filly registered a thoroughly professional length victory in the $70,000 Portofino Bay overnight handicap.

This Day in Florida Thoroughbred History - Good Lord Wins the Kelly's Landing Stakes at Churchill Downs

JUNE 28, 2014-A three-time participant in the Kelly's Landing Stakes at Churchill Downs, Florida-bred Good Lord won the 2014 edition at age seven in his second attempt in the seven-furlong test for 3-year-olds and older.

Florida-bred Mensa Takes on Tom Ridge Stakes at Presque Isle Monday

A $740,000 digital auction purchase will compete in Monday's $100,000 Tom Ridge at Presque Isle Downs. The Florida-bred 3-year-old ridgling enters the six-furlong sprint on the synthetic course at 8-1 on the morning line.

FTBOA Board of Directors Election Notice

The timeline for the 2025 FTBOA Board of Directors election was finalized at the Board meeting held on May 23, 2025. The Board will nominate at least one candidate for each of the available Director positions.


In addition, applications for self-nominated candidates seeking to qualify by petition are available upon request beginning Thurs., June 26, 2025 by calling 352-629-2160 or stopping by the FTBOA offices at 801 SW 60th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34474, between the hours of 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., weekdays (closed noon to 1 p.m.).


The application, a biography, and the required original petition form signed by at least 25 Regular Members in good standing from Thursday, June 26, 2025 to Friday, July 25, 2025 must be received by the FTBOA no later than July 25, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.


Voting packets will be mailed/emailed to FTBOA members eligible to vote on Wed., Sept. 24, 2025, and voting will close upon the FTBOA Annual Meeting being called to order on Oct. 24, 2025.
