Mythical Back to Brilliant Form, Setting Stakes Record in Any Limit

Arindel homebred Mythical returned to her dominating form Saturday with a two-length victory in the $122,500 Any Limit Stakes at Gulfstream Park, easily outrunning four other 3-year-old fillies over six furlongs in a stakes record time of 1:09.40 on a fast track.

Before Tampa Bay Downs began in November with their historic 100th anniversary of Thoroughbred racing, track officials announced substantial earning opportunities for eligible Florida-breds including as much as $23,000 in incentives added to each allowance, allowance optional claiming and maiden special weight races.

Limehouse Takes Tampa Bay Derby as Odds-On Favorite

MARCH 14, 2004-Coming off a two-and-a-half-length victory in the Grade 2 Hutcheson at Gulfstream Park a month earlier, Dogwood Stables' Limehouse and jockey Pat Day narrowly won the $250,000 Tampa Bay Derby (Grade 3), putting them solidly on the road to the Kentucky Derby.

Decoupling Stalled Again, FTBOA Remains Vigilant

OCALA, FL-The Florida Legislature's 2026 regular session concluded today, with decoupling legislation again failing to reach the Governor's desk. HB881 passed the House but companion bill SB1564 never received a hearing in the Senate. A special session is expected to finalize the state budget.
