Florida-bred Stunner is No Surprise Winner of Tempted Stakes

Sent to the post as a popular 9-5 second choice, Florida-bred Stunner affirmed her supporters’ expectations with a convincing three-and-a-half-length victory in the $150,000 Tempted at Aqueduct Saturday. Ridden to victory by Dylan Davis, Stunner defeated eight other 2-year-old fillies in the one-mile contest during the Belmont at Big A meet.

Bentornato Becomes Newest Florida-bred Millionaire

This Day in Florida Thoroughbred History - Mucho Macho Man Wins the Breeders' Cup Classic

November 2, 2013—After finishing second to Fort Larned in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Classic the previous year at Santa Anita, Reeves Thoroughbred Racing’s Mucho Macho Man returned to the Great Race Place to join Florida-breds Unbridled (1990) and Skip Away (1997) as winners of the prestigious contest.

Florida-bred Naughty Rascal Returns to Winning Form with Armed Forces Victory

After a difficult start resulted in his first career loss last out in the $79,000 Aventura, Mr Pug LLC and JPG 2 LLC’s Naughty Rascal rebounded with a strong victory while making his turf debut in the $95,000 Armed Forces at Gulfstream Park Saturday. In taking the one mile contest against nine other 2-year-olds, Naughty Rascal earned a $10,000 Florida-bred bonus presented by the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owner’s Association. Runner-up Tank earned a $6,000 Florida-bred bonus from the FTBOA while third-place finisher Scarecrow took down $4,000 in Florida-bred bonus money for finishing third.
