OBS October Yearling Sale Set for Tuesday-Wednesday

The annual Ocala Breeders’ Sales Yearling Sale is set to start Tuesday, offering 569 head plus supplements in two sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.


Hips 1 – 266 plus supplements 267 – 288 will be offered on Tuesday and Hips 301 – 569 plus supplements 570 – 595 will be sold on Wednesday. Both sessions begin at 11:30 a.m. EDT.

This Day in Florida Thoroughbred History - Foolish Pleasure Caps Undefeated Season with Champagne Victory

October 5, 1974—John L. Greer’s Florida-bred Foolish Pleasure capped an undefeated juvenile season in which he was named the 1974 Champion 2-Year-Old Colt with a six-length victory in the $489,022 Champagne (Grade 1) at Belmont Park.
