Taken by the Wind Blows Away Rivals in Pocahontas

Florida-bred Taken by the Wind ran away with a five-and-a-quarter-length victory to remain undefeated in her two starts while winning the $251,250 Pocahontas for 2-year-old fillies going one mile at Churchill Downs Saturday.

Imposing Return for Bentornato in the Louisville Thoroughbred Society Stakes

Making his first start since second in the $2 million Cygames Breeders' Cup Sprint (Grade 1) at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in November, Florida-bred Bentornato looked stronger than ever in winning the $267,500 Louisville Thoroughbred Society Stakes (Listed) against seven other 3-year-olds and older sprinting six furlongs at Churchill Downs Saturday.

Smok'n Frolic wins the Grade 3 Turfway Breeders' Cup at Turfway Park

SEPTEMBER 13, 2003-Smok'n Frolic and jockey Edgar Prado joined Country Romance and So Much More after a half mile, took over in the turn then kicked clear in the stretch to win the $175,000 Turfway Breeders' Cup (Grade 3) by three-and-a-half lengths at Turfway Park.

An FTBOA registered Florida-bred colt by Vekoma dropped the gavel at $325,000 Saturday during the fifth session of the 12-session Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
