Florida-bred Malibu Moon Filly Brings $485,000 Sunday at Keeneland September

A Florida-bred filly by Malibu Moon sold for $485,000 to Shawn Dugan as agent on Sunday during Session 6 of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, the second day of Book 3. The September Sale runs daily through Saturday, Sept. 23 for a total of 12 sessions.


Selling as Hip 1778 from the Paramount Sales as agent consignment, the bay filly is out of the stakes-placed mare Madam Aamoura, by Zensational. Bred by Elizabeth LaPierre, Jennifer Given and Spendthrift Stallions LLC, the filly is from the family of multiple graded stakes-winner Anguilla.

Florida-bred Jasper Robusto Wins Hanshin Racecourse Maiden

Jasper Robusto, a 2-year-old Florida-bred colt by Journeyman Stud's leading Florida sire Khozan, won a $121,757 maiden race at Hanshin Racecourse in Komanocho, Takarazuka, Hyogo, Japan Saturday with jockey Fuma Matsuwak aboard. Trained by Hideyuki Mori, Jasper Robusto won the 1,800-meter maiden in his second start after finishing second in his debut.
