Florida-bred Colt by Instilled Regard Sells for $130,000

BY BROCK SHERIDAN

Three Florida-breds changed hands Tuesday during Session 8 of the 12-session Keeneland September Sale. Of the 10 Florida-bred cataloged, four others were outs with three RNAs. The Keeneland September Yearling Sale will continue each day this week before concluding Saturday.

The top selling Florida-bred on the day was Hip 2587, a bay colt by first crop sire Instilled Regard, winner of the Grade 1 Manhattan who dropped the gavel at $130,000 on a final bid from Keep the Ball Rollin. Consigned by Warrendale Sales as agent and bred by Beth Bayer, the colt is out of the stakes-placed mare Know it All Anna, by Midnight Lute. Know it All Anna has also produced stakes-placed Know It All Audrey.
