Florida-bred Milieu, Half-Sister to Champion Shamrock Rose, Rallies to Win Gulfstream Maiden Special Weight

Mike G. Rutherford's Florida-bred Milieu, a half-sister 2018 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (Grade 1)-winner and champion female sprinter Shamrock Rose, circled the field on the far turn then took in the stretch to win a maiden special weight by three-quarters of a length at Gulfstream Park Sunday.

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL-Gentry Farms' Accomplished Girl, who captured the Grade 2 Presque Isle Masters in her most recent start, breezed a half-mile Sunday morning at Gulfstream Park in preparation for an upcoming turf stakes.

Jockey Scott Spieth is approaching a personal milestone of 5,000 Thoroughbred career wins in North America (US and Canada). Through racing Sunday, Dec. 17, Spieth was at 4,994 wins. He has two mounts at Tampa Bay Downs on Wednesday and one mount at Gulfstream Park on Saturday .
