Florida-breds Charlie's Wish and Rachel's Rock will take on expected favorite Kathleen O. Wednesday at Gulfstream Park in the eighth-race feature, an upper level, $62,500 optional claiming for fillies and mares, 4-years-old and older, at six-and-a-half furlongs. The $92,000 purse includes a $5,000 FTBOA Florida-bred win bonus.

2017 - Florida-bred Imperial Hint celebrated his fourth birthday with his first graded stakes victory in the Grade 3 General George at Laurel Park to top a Florida-bred exacta with even-money favorite Stallwalkin' Dude second.

FTBOA Breeder Award Checks

FTBOA distributed January 2024 Breeder Awards this past week via regular mail. For 2024 all award payments derive evenly from two separate sources and therefore print on separate checks. 50% of earned awards generate from the longstanding industry 'promotional trust fund' consistent with normal FTBOA procedures. Florida HB7063, two-year legislation championed by the FTBOA, enables the remaining one-half of 2024 FTBOA Awards.

FTBOA anticipates a 50% increase in net Breeder/Stallion Awards and over 60% growth in Florida Racing Incentives, all driven by HB7063 in 2024.
