Stallion Spotlight: Rogueish

After making a splash at the 2023 Ocala Breeders’ Sales with an average of $91,667 for his 2-year-olds in training, Solera Farm’s stallion Rogueish began showing that he can get it done at the track as well. From 31 named foals of racing age, the stallion had 16 runners and 11 winners. They include Florida-bred Naughty Rascal, recent winner of the $92,500 Pasco at Tampa Bay Downs, a two-time stakes winner as a juvenile and one of two winners representing Rogueish in 2025 as of Jan. 16.

Boppy O Tries To Snap Runner-Up Streak in Sunshine Turf

Second in his last three starts, graded stakes-winner Boppy O appears ready to return to winning form Saturday in the $75,000 Sunshine Turf for Florida-bred 4-year-olds and older going a mile-and-a-sixteenth on the grass at Gulfstream Park.

Florida-bred HOY Speed Boat Beach Back on Work Tab for Baffert

ARCADIA, CA—A light work tab Thursday included the return of Grade 1 winning Florida-bred Speed Boat Beach for trainer Bob Baffert. Off since winning the 2023 Malibu (G1) at Santa Anita, the 2023 Florida-bred Horse of the Year drilled three furlongs on the main track in :36.40. It was his first work since Sept. 21.

Keeneland January Sale Results Reflect Market Stability, Buyer Confidence

LEXINGTON, KY—Keeneland’s January Horses of All Ages Sale closed Wednesday following three days of steady trade that produced solid results and signaled continued demand for quality individuals and confidence in the yearling market. Three horses sold for the top price of $700,000: broodmare prospect Delahaye and broodmare Pretty Birdie, carrying her first foal by Candy Ride (Arg), during Monday’s Book 1 and racing or broodmare prospect Love to Shop during Tuesday’s second session.
