HALLANDALE BEACH, FL-D. J. Stable and Robert Cotran’s Grade 3-winner Hades, fresh off his first victory in 22 months, looks to keep the momentum going when he returns to face state-breds for the first time since his juvenile campaign in Saturday’s $75,000 Sunshine Classic at Gulfstream Park.

FTBOA's Sheila Budden Retires, Kristin Vasquez Assumes Registration and Payments Role

Longtime Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' and Owners' Association Registration and Payments Coordinator Sheila Budden retired on Dec. 31, ending a 15-year tenure with the company. She has been replaced as Registration and Payments Coordinator by Kristin Vasquez of Silver Springs, Florida, who joined the Association in September.

Acknowledgemeplz Cuts Back to Seven Furlongs For San Vicente

Acknowledgemeplz, who was fourth last out in the mile-and-one-sixteenth Los Alamitos Futurity (Grade 2), will shorten up to seven furlongs for his next start Saturday in the $200,000 San Vicente for five 3-year-olds at Santa Anita Park.
