Florida-bred Karaya One of Four Casse Runners in Alywow

Florida-bred Karaya is among four 3-year-old fillies from the Mark Casse barn entered for the CA$100,000 Alywow at Woodbine Saturday as the dual Hall of Fame trainer tries for his fifth victory in the six-and-a-half-furlong turf contest. Casse will also saddle 2-1 morning line favorite Stormcast, Dancing Duchess and Creed's Gold.

Third Time May Be Charm for Drama Chorus in Brooks Fields Mile

Florida-bred Drama Chorus will make his third attempt at the $50,000 Brooks Fields Mile for 3-year-olds and older on the Canterbury Park turf Saturday night. The 7-year-old gelding was second to Tuts Revenge in the 2022 Brooks Fields that was taken off the turf and sixth in last year’s edition won by Fuerteventura.

Trainer George Weaver is approaching a personal milestone of 1,000 Thoroughbred career wins in North America (US and Canada). Through racing Thursday June 20, Weaver was at 991 wins. He has two horses entered at Belmont at the Big A on Friday.
