FTBOA Adjusts 2025 Award Rates and Announces Groundbreaking Florida-bred Export Incentives

OCALA, FL-The Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' and Owners' Association announced today that the Florida Gaming Control Commission has approved an amended 2025 awards plan that sets in-state breeder and stallion award rates at 15% of announced gross purse, effective September 1, 2025.

OCALA, FL-La Asociación de Criadores y Propietarios de Caballos Purasangre de Florida ha anunciado hoy que la Comisión de Control del Juego de Florida ha aprobado una modificación del plan de premios para 2025 que fija las tasas de premios para los criadores y sementales del estado en el 15 % del premio bruto anunciado, con efecto a partir del 1 de septiembre de 2025.

Fiona's Magic Returns to Stakes Competition in Sensible Lady Turf Dash

Coming off of two second-place finishes in allowance company, Florida-bred graded stakes-winner Fiona's Magic returns to black-type company Saturday at Laurel Park in the $100,000 Sensible Lady Turf Dash. The six-furlong test on the grass has attracted 13 entries, including three on the also-eligible list.

R Unicorn Stable Buys Florida-bred Not This Time Filly for $475,000

R Unicorn Stable went to $475,000 to acquire an FTBOA registered Florida-bred filly by Not This Time during Thursday's fourth session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale conducted Thursday.

Gulfstream Park's 2025-2026 Championship Meet to Offer 68 Stakes Worth $15.2 Million

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park's 2025-2026 Championship Meet will offer a stakes schedule with 68 stakes, 27 graded, worth $15.2 million in purses, highlighted by the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (Grade 1) and the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1) Jan. 24 and the $1 million Curlin Florida Derby (G1) March 28.
