Bentornato Leads Florida Quintuple Looking to Add to Sunshine State History in Gallant Bob

While the Grade 2 Gallant Bob is conducted at Parx Racing in Bensalem Township in Pennsylvania, the history of the race is replete with winners bred in the Florida. Rocky Knave in 1985 was the first of 10 Florida-breds to take the sprint contest while Damon’s Mound last year was the most recent. Others include Firenze Fire in 2018, City of Weston (2013), Royal Currier (2011), Pashito the Che (2009), Abbodanza (2004), Thunderello (2002), Sea of Green (2001) and Valid Trefaire (1999).

Florida-bred Charlie's Wish Returns to Turf for Ginger Punch

Royalight Racing LLC’s Charlie’s Wish will switch to the Gulfstream Park grass course for her next start Saturday in the $100,000 Ginger Punch at a mile-and-a-sixteenth. A full gate of 12 fillies and mares, plus one on the also-eligible list, have entered the Ginger Punch with Charlie’s Wish set at 5-1 on the morning line.

Los purasangres de Florida inundan esta semana las selectivas de todo el país

Una oleada de purasangres de Florida ha llegado a las inscripciones para las selectivas que se correrán esta semana en todo el país con 32 purasangres del Estado del Sol inscritos en 14 selectivas. Los mismas se correrán en Churchill Downs, Gulfstream Park, Delaware Park, Parx Racing, Presque Isle Downs y Laurel Park, con un total de 3.315 millones de dólares en premios.
