Great Venezuela Makes Triumphant Return in Islamorada

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL -Back on her home turf-make that synthetic-Orlyana Farms' Great Venezuela continued her impressive domination over sprinting fillies and mares at Gulfstream Park Sunday with a two-and-a-half-length victory in the $100,000 Islamorada overnight handicap.

Poiema Favored in Tampa Bay Downs Wednesday Feature

JC Racing Stable's Poiema returns off a three-and-half-month layoff as the 5-2 morning line favorite for Wednesday's featured sixth race, a second condition $32,000 optional claiming for fillies and mares, 3-years-old and older, scheduled for seven furlongs.

Rajiv Maragh Closes in on 2,000 Career Win Milestone

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL-Jockey Rajiv Maragh moved closer to his 2,000th career win after guiding MHM Stables' 2-year-old Florida-bred colt Augustinian to victory in Sunday's second race at Gulfstream Park, his lone mount on the card.

Milestone


Jockey Rajiv Maragh is approaching a personal milestone of 2,000 Thoroughbred career wins in North America (US and Canada). Through today, Dec. 2, Maragh was at 1,999 wins. He has two scheduled mounts on Thursday, Dec. 4, five on Friday, Dec. 5, six on Saturday, Dec. 6, and four on Sunday, Dec. 7, all at Gulfstream Park.
