FTBOA's Gantt Presents to Inaugural Florida Equine Ambassador Cohort

Gantt showcased why Marion County is the Horse Capital of the World® and discussed the myriad of equine or equine-adjacent job opportunities in Florida.

This Florida-bred filly by Solera Farm stallion Rogueish is the first foal out of the unraced St Patrick’s Day mare Saving Seanna. She was born on January 30 at Buena Vista Farm and was bred by Bloodfire 2020. Second dam Bloodfire, by Forestry, is a full sister to stakes-placed Jet Setting and is from the family of multiple graded-stakes winner Igotrhythm.

This Mystic Guide filly is this seventh foal out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Ciddy’s Song and was bred in Florida by Chester Bishop and Ken Reimer. Ciddy’s Song has three starters, all winners. The filly was born March 6 at Oakleaf Farm in Ocala and is a half-sister to stakes-placed Beckham James, by Shanghai Bobby.

Decoupling Stalled Again, FTBOA Remains Vigilant

FTBOA PRESS RELEASE

OCALA, FL-The Florida Legislature's 2026 regular session concluded today, with decoupling legislation again failing to reach the Governor's desk. HB881 passed the House but companion bill SB1564 never received a hearing in the Senate. A special session is expected to finalize the state budget.
