My Miss Mo Shoots for Kentucky Oaks Points in Davona Dale

My Miss Mo tries to join her fellow Florida-bred Taken by the Wind as a serious contender on the Road to the Longines Kentucky Oaks (Grade 1) as trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. will saddle her for the $200,000 Davona Dale (Grade 2) at Gulfstream Park Saturday.

Billy Ham with Ham Equine LLC in Summerfield, Florida is the owner and breeder of this gorgeous Florida-bred bred colt, Musiala, foaled on Feb. 20. He is by Ocala Stud stallion Win Win Win out of the winning Florida-bred mare Exclusive Ute, by Exclusive Quality. Musiala is the fourth foal out of Exclusive Ute and is a half-brother to winner Triple Scout, by Kantharos, an earner of $181,395. Ham reports that Exclusive Ute will return to Ocala Stud in 2026 for an engagement with Colonel Liam.

Liz and Norman Wilson of Oakleaf Farm in Ocala, Florida are the owners and breeders of this handsome Florida-bred foal, the first colt by Mr Fisk, who stands at Pleasant Acres Stallions. The colt is also the first foal out of the unraced Audible mare Jewel Tone.

John Ropes, owner of Rosegrove Farm in Ocala, Florida, is the owner and breeder of this nice Florida-bred filly foaled Feb. 6. She is by Ocala Stud stallion Win Win Win out of the multiple graded stakes winning millionaire Island Sand, by Tabasco Cat. Purchased by Ropes for $52,000 at the 2019 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale in foal to Union Rags, Island Sand has produced seven winners from 10 starters and 12 foals including graded stakes-placed Maya Malibu, by Malibu Moon and stakes-placed Midnite Poppa, by Unbridled’s Song. Island Sand also has an unnamed 2-year-old filly by Ocala Stud stallion Colonel Liam.
