Strong Three Stakes Saturday Propels Tampa to Highest Wagering of the Meet

Tampa Bay Downs reported that their January 11 card produced a total wagering handle of $8,279,255 for the 10 races, the highest of the meet. The previous high was Dec. 24, when a nine-race card generated $6,054,252 in betting handle.

Eclipse Awards Sold Out; Televised Offerings

NTRA PRESS RELEASE


Lexington, Ky., (January 14, 2025) – The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), Daily Racing Form, and the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters (NTWAB) announced Tuesday that tickets to the 54th Annual Resolute Racing Eclipse Awards, presented by John Deere, Keeneland, The Jockey Club and the NTRA, are sold out. The event will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23 at The Breakers Palm Beach and will be hosted by Britney Eurton and Lindsay Czarniak, with Caton Bredar serving as the announcer throughout the awards ceremony.

Amplify Horse Racing Accepting Spring 2025 Mentor Applications

The Amplify Horse Racing Mentorship Program is accepting applications until Jan. 28 for its free Spring mentoring session. Launched in 2021, the program is a formal process of pairing youth and young adults interested in pursuing a Thoroughbred industry career with experienced industry professionals who can offer guidance.
