Record Setting Curlin Filly Brings $975,000 on Second Day of OBS June Sale, Average Price Leaps 66% to $59,052

A chestnut filly by Curlin dropped the gavel at $975,000 Wednesday at Ocala Breeders Sales Company to set an OBS June sale record. Gus King purchased the filly, Hip 850, out of the Caliente Thoroughbreds as agent consignment.

Florida-bred Lennilu gave a good account of herself while representing the United States and the Sunshine State Thoroughbred industry with a solid third in the Group 2 Queen Mary at Royal Ascot Wednesday.

Florida-bred Drama Chorus Looks to Return to Tampa Form for Brooks Fields Mile at Canterbury Park

A two-time victory over the winter at Tampa Bay Downs where he twice won the $110,000 Grey Goose Turf Classic in previous years, Florida-bred Drama Chorus tries to find that winning form again Saturday at Canterbury Park in the $50,000 Brooks Fields Mile on the grass.
