BY SARAH WELK BAYNUM

Before developing an interest in horse racing, Ida Paquette was involved in a different side of the equine industry.

"We'd moved to Florida from Canada, where I'd grown up with horses-show horses, jumpers, mostly Canadian-bred hunters, and half-Thoroughbreds," Paquette said.

David O’Farrell and Joe O’Farrell III accept the award for Florida-bred champion 2-year-old filly Nooni at the FTBOA Awards Gala on May 12.

Florida-bred Maclean's Music Colt Brings $425,000 During Record Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale

BY BROCK SHERIDAN

Mike Repole's Repole Stable purchased a Florida-bred colt by Maclean's Music for $425,000 during a record Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale of 2-year-olds in training Tuesday.
