Dear Dad Makes Stakes Debut in Colonial Cup Off Two Race Win Streak

If one is to initially try a 5-year-old gelding against stakes horses, a good time is off a two-race win streak. That is exactly what trainer Mark Casse has in mind for Florida-bred Dear Dad, a winner of his last two starts against optional claimers.

Mrs. Lucy Young Hamilton to Receive Dinny Phipps Award

The Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation announced today that Mrs. Lucy Young Hamilton will be presented with the Dinny Phipps Award. The award will be presented at a cocktail reception hosted by the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation in Lexington, Ky., at The Apiary on Oct. 14.
