Legislature Adjourns
The Legislature last week adjourned its 2017-18 session without holding the extraordinary session on special elections, as previously planned. The next Capitol Update will provide a session summary and then appear less frequently until the new 2019-20 session.

On April 3, Governor Walker signed Assembly Bill 128 into law as 2017 Wisconsin Act 91 . The Act prohibits elective abortion coverage in the health insurance plans of public employees, thus prohibiting the use of taxpayer funds for the performance of abortions. The WCC testified in support.
