Wisconsin Conference This Week | | Damascus Project seeks part-time registrar | |
The Damascus Project theological education ministry has an opening for a part-time registrar following the resignation of the Rev. Uriah Williams, who is leaving to become the full-time executive director of the Shawano Area United Way. The registrar is a half-time employee and works remotely, providing learner support and database, technology, and communications support, with the possibility of occasional travel within Wisconsin and Minnesota. Uriah previously served United Way in a half-time role. At the Damascus Project, he designed the Living Faith online confirmation program, and he’ll continue as the instructor for Living Faith for the time being.
See the Damascus Project job post.

The next meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. today on Zoom, and the discussion will center on worship resources. The group meets virtually on the third Monday evening of each month.

ICYMI: Blue Christmas services offer support
for those who struggle during holidays
| | |
The Advent and Christmas seasons present a special challenge to individuals who are grieving or lonely. If that describes you, consider attending a Blue Christmas service designed for those who don’t have the heart for holiday cheer. The Conference Older Adult Ministries Team will offer a virtual Blue Christmas service at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22. We’ve been alerted to other services to be offered by Emanuel UCC in Hales Corners at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16; at Bethlehem UCC in Kiel at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18; and at St. John UCC in New Holstein at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22.
Register for the virtual service.
| Winter Soulstice registration deadline is Dec. 31 | |
Amid the busyness of the holiday season, don’t forget to register for next month’s Winter Soulstice Retreat for high schoolers and college-age young adults. This popular faith formation experience, to take place Jan. 16-18 at Daycholah Center, allows participants to explore who they are, where they are on their faith journey, and how to live their faith. It’s also a chance to disconnect and be inspired by worship and music led by Andra Moran. Registration deadline is Dec. 31. But why wait? Space is limited, so sign up today.
Register for the Winter Soulstice Retreat.
