Next Catalyst deadline is Sept. 30

If your congregation has an idea for an innovative ministry that reaches beyond church walls to address an unmet community need, the Catalyst Grant program is for you. Grants are available to support short-term initiatives lasting up to one year, long-term projects lasting up to three years, and community conversations that nurture discussions around sensitive topics. The best Catalyst projects involve partnerships with community organizations. The next Catalyst application deadline is Sept. 30. Questions? Share your story of being welcomed to the UCC

The United Church of Christ wants your help as it prepares to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the denomination’s founding. Specifically, the national setting is asking the people in the pews to submit personal stories of encountering the extravagant welcome that is the ethos of UCC congregations. It could be something as simple as the story of someone remembering your name after one visit, and how that small gesture made you realize that the UCC is a community where you belong.
