Annual Meeting 2027 will take place April 9-10 at Green Lake Conference Center.

Damascus Project launches Rooted and Growing Cohort

Fifteen members of Wisconsin Conference congregations are participating in the new Rooted and Growing in Faith Spiritual Formation Cohort created by the Damascus Project. Designed specifically for lay members of Wisconsin UCC congregations, Rooted and Growing seeks to nurture participants’ spiritual lives, theological growth, and leadership and ministry skills through a combination of online and in-person learning. Over the next three Damascus Project semesters, participants will take up to six courses, attend a monthly online discussion, and gather for two more retreats. The program is made possible by a Lilly Endowment Thriving Congregations Grant.

Bridge Builder retreat set for Oct. 3 at Green Lake

The Wisconsin Council of Churches is partnering with Lumunos to host a one-day Bridge Builder Leadership Training Retreat from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Green Lake Conference Center. Participants will learn how to build bridges needed to bring about change in their own communities, congregations, and workplaces. Retreat leader will be the Rev. David Fraccaro, a UCC pastor and Lumunos executive director, who says the process of building understanding and cooperation with individuals who think and look and express themselves differently doesn’t come naturally to most of us. The retreat will provide engaging content, time for small-group reflection, role-play exercises, and more. Cost is $25 per person. Email David Faccaro with questions.
