Wisconsin Conference This Week

The news you need

June 1, 2026

Registration opens for 2026-2027 COP groups

We know many of you are looking forward to some downtime over the next three months. But before you hit the hammock, how about signing up for one of the Communities of Practice offered by the Wisconsin Conference? These groups meet monthly and offer opportunities for peer support and reflection. Registration is open now for groups for clergy and faith formation leaders. You must register even if you are continuing with the same group.

Beloved Community, justice is focus of monthly discussion

The monthly discussions hosted by the Conference Supportive Ministries team will take place at noon and 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 4. The conversation will explore the ways in which God’s love for us prepares us to act for justice. There’s just one problem: We sometimes forget just how beloved we are in a world filled with loud voices that make us question our self-worth – a phenomenon Henri Nouwen called “the trap of self-rejection.” Thursday’s conversations are the last of the 2025-2026 program year. Monthly discussions will resume in October.

UCCI lifts curtain on redesigned website

Our ministry partners at United Church Camps Inc. have flipped the switch on a new-look website that makes it easier to find information about the three UCCI camps – Moon Beach, Daycholah Center, and Cedar Valley – along with retreats, personal stays, worship opportunities, and other events throughout the year. It’s all designed to make sure you can navigate quickly to the information you need. Make sure to check it out.

ICYMI: Our summer publishing schedule

This issue of Wisconsin Conference This Week marks the start of our summer publishing schedule. We’ll publish on the first and third Mondays of the month from now through August, so you’ll hear from us next on June 15. But we won’t be going dark – watch your inboxes for dedicated emails about educational opportunities and events of Conference-wide interest. And make sure to check the Conference Facebook page to stay abreast of significant breaking news. More important, take some time over the next few months to enjoy God’s beautiful, though fragile, Creation.
