Wisconsin State Fair DNA Commercial/Breeding Stock Deadline June 6

For those youth that need DNA Kits or envelopes for commercial/breeding livestock at the Wisconsin State Fair, please note WLIC must receive the DNA sample no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

Orders can be placed online at the WLIC website. If you are returning your hair sample by mail, please place your order at least two weeks prior to the June 6th deadline, to allow WLIC five to seven days to process and ship your kit, as well as ample mail time to return the kit with the sample and paperwork. All hair samples (with collected DNA), and attached forms, must be filled in and returned to WLIC by June 6th.

Livestock must be identified in the exhibitor's name or in the immediate family member's name.
There is no limit to the number of animals which may be identified by an exhibitor.
The RFID tag listed on the identification forms MUST be the RFID ear tag in the animal's ear at the fair's check-in.

WLIC Job Opening: Communications/Office Assistant

WLIC is seeking a communications/office assistant to work in its Verona office.

This individual will support data entry and data management functions of the Wisconsin Livestock Identification Consortium, as well as provide communications support. The position will provide technical phone support to users of the WLIC premise registration information system and will handle information requests and resolve registrant issues through written and phone correspondence.

This position reports to the Executive Director.
