Sunday Worship
11:00 AM Worship
“Looking One Another in the Eye” | Matthew 2:1-12 | Brett Younger, preaching

This week we celebrate the First Sunday after Epiphany—the day on which the Magi, following the star, arriving in Bethlehem, and bowing in worship before the child who is God’s love. At first glance Epiphany seems high and mighty, with grand images, royal courts, wise men from the East, and new stars on the move. But the climax of the story is the joy the Magi feel when they look into Jesus’ face.

Please join us for worship in person, or online.
A Gift of Gratitude
As we gather for worship online this Sunday at 11:00 AM, we invite you to set up your offering online. Plymouth is continuing to work in its mission to help us all connect as a community, grow in our faith, and serve those who are most vulnerable. Your offering is key to helping that mission continue.
January Mission Offering: Making the Winter Warmer at PS 307
The January Mission Offering will enable a nearby school to distribute winter hats, gloves and scarves to their students, with a goal of raising $1500. PS307 is a diverse K-5 public school located near Plymouth in Vinegar Hill; Plymouth’s Racial Justice Ministry has an ongoing partnership with them. To build connections with the school and its community, Plymouth members have helped to plant flower beds at the school, have donated funds for school supplies, and have teamed with Bloom Again Brooklyn to honor teachers with flower arrangements. When public health conditions permit, we hope to facilitate in-person volunteering or joint community service projects with PS307.
Worship with Plymouth
Vaccination Policy
We welcome those who worship with Plymouth both online and in person. We are a community that treasures one another, and so we look out for one another. We pray for the day when extra precautions are unnecessary, even as we recognize that being a safe church is being a welcoming church.

In our continued effort to care for our members and the community at large, persons age 12+ are required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination for entry. Children under age 12 are required to wear masks. So that we may check you in as quickly as possible, and prevent bottleneck for others, please have your vax card handy while waiting in line.

Covid Variants
We acknowledge the current concerns surrounding the emerging Covid variants that are surfacing, and the importance of social distancing and wearing masks. We kindly remind everyone that we are blessed with a sanctuary that can seat up to 1,100 people, and promote the use of the balcony as a social distancing measure. Masks are readily available in the Narthex entrance. We strongly encourage wearing masks during worship. We appreciate your commitment to public health safety as a way of caring for others.

Upcoming Events
Observing Martin Luther King, Jr. Day | Sunday, January 16 @ 3:30 PM
Brooklyn is covered in sacred spaces—not just inspiring communities of faith, but also ordinary places where holy work happened. Join us for a sacred spaces walking tour honoring black history in Brooklyn Heights. In prayerfully walking these sites, some we pass everyday, we tune into the Spirit that still compels us toward justice and recognize that holy work can happen in ordinary places. We will meet at Plymouth in the Reception Room at 3:30 PM and begin our walk from there. Please contact Lesley-Ann with any questions.
Women's Bookclub | Monday, January 31 @ 7:00 PM
We will be meeting on January 31 to discuss The Lions of Fifth Avenue by Fiona Davis. Meeting place to be determined. Please email Susan Egan with any questions.
