Happy New Year to our Unleashed community!

For us, 2015 was an especially exciting year! We Unleashed over 100 powerful change-makers and rescued 135 puppies (bringing our total since launching to over 600 rescued pups) now living across the tri-state area in warm, loving adoptive families!

We customized the program for youth in foster care, partnering with social service agencies such as the Jewish Child Care Association and Edwin Gould Family and Children Services! And we added additional school partners in the Bronx and East Harlem and expanded programming to include  Paw Squad, our high school leadership and mentoring initiative.
The publication of  Brave Girls by Simon and Schuster in January led to national visibility, creating a huge demand for Unleashed to expand. We developed a plan to head into other cities across the United States in 2016! We will also be hosting a Brave Girl conference sponsored by the Girls' and Women's Institute of Fordham University on May14, 2016, bringing generations of women together for a day to Be Brave, igniting passion, power and purpose.
We rang in the New Year in 2015 with a brand new website and social media presence. It has been exciting to see how our community has evolved, becoming engaged in this space. If you aren't following us on  InstagramTwitter and  Facebook, be sure to take a look.
This past week, we were named one of six small charities that "women should know about" by  Daily Worth, and we of course feel honored. Our 40 tireless, passionate volunteers are at the heart of our success, and we are so grateful for their time, expertise and commitment to our mission. We are a grassroots organization, doing big things with small resources!
In order to continue our work to change the landscape for our girls and women (and rescue pups) we need to raise $30,000. We have extended our campaign to January 31, 2016. We only need $5000 to reach our goal! If you'd like to make a tax-deductible donation to an organization that uses over 90% of its funding to provide programs, directly shaping the lives of girls and rescuing puppies, we hope you will consider Unleashed this New Year!
