Please note, membership renewals are due on December 31. If you have not already done so, please make sure to contact Jan Newton regarding your membership status. We have many exciting things planned in 2021 that members from all redevelopment fields will benefit from.

ANNUAL REPORT LARGE CITY

Congratulations to the Davie CRA for receiving the 2020 Annual Report Award for a large city!

The Davie CRA annual report seeks to tell a compelling story of the CRA and its vision as its redevelopment efforts come to fruition. Utilizing a highly visual and narrative-driven report, the report walks stakeholders through success stories while demonstrating fiscal responsibility and transparency.

The annual report serves multiple purposes as an educational, marketing and public relations tool that demonstrates the CRA’s commitment to working with developers to transform the redevelopment area.

IMPORTANT LEGISLATIVE DATES

The 2021 Legislative Session is quickly approaching!

While we don't expect drastic changes to Florida's CRAs, this is truly an uncertain time due to COVID-19 impacts.

The upcoming session convenes on March 2 and adjourns on April 30.

As your trusted association to advocate for redevelopment practice in Florida, we will keep you updated on proposed legislation, information and how you can get involved.

2021 USF CRED PROGRAM

Starting in January, the Community Real Estate Development Program at USF is offering practical training for community developers and others in the industry.

Scheduled to start January 29, the program provides the tools needed to carry out successful affordable housing and community-based real estate development projects.

The program is scheduled each Friday and Saturday afternoon through February 27.

Renewing your FRA membership by December 31!

The FRA is committed to serving Florida's redevelopment professionals and stakeholders. We believe that FRA membership benefits far outweigh the nominal cost.

Redevelopment is not a field that is easily learned by reading documents, nor in which many specialize. It is a “people, place and process," and the FRA may help you navigate these important aspects of community revitalization.
