Over the last 65 years, Kingswood has come to mean a place of community, nurturing of the spirit, rest, engagement with nature and all her beauty, and renewal of relationships with self, with family and friends and with God.
The Camp’s name came from the hills of Kingswood, England. Nearly three centuries ago, John Wesley, the founder of what became the Methodist Church, went into these hills to preach among coal miners who had been forgotten by the church. There, beneath the open sky, hearts were stirred, lives were changed, and a movement was born—one grounded in grace, community, and service. Wesley later founded Kingswood School to nurture both mind and spirit, planting seeds of faith that would grow for generations.
As you know, Kingswood is run almost entirely by volunteers on a shoestring budget of less than $100,000. This helps us keep it affordable and welcoming to all who come here to bask in the beauty of God’s creation, rest and renew, and reconnect with the Spirit that first moved in Kingswood so long ago.
Your gifts to Kingswood help us to insure the camp’s fiscal viability and we are grateful for contributions of any size. You can send a check to Carol Stidworthy at 430 County Rt. 1, Warwick, NY 10990, or click on the button below to connect to the donations page on the Kingswood website.
Thank you for being a member of the Kingswood Community! We wish you a very Happy Holiday Season and many blessings in 2026!
