I am pleased to celebrate a holiday very near to my heart today, father's day. Fatherhood is a true joy I and so many others cherish each day. I am so proud of all that my own father did for me and my siblings, instilling in us the values of hard work, love and care for those around us, and the importance of community.

I also want to acknowledge and celebrate all who have played the role of father in their families. This takes boundless dedication and sacrifice and I thank you for your efforts.

We must remember that we are always the role models for our children and our actions will be replicated, both good and bad. In this vein, I encourage you to join me in remaining steadfast in support of our community's children. We aim to instill our values, the importance of education and strong sense of community so important to growing minds.
