Thank you so much for your contribution(s) to our donation drive for Mountain Peace Shelter this past holiday season. Your generosity and thoughtfulness will help MPS provide shelter and supplies to victims of domestic violence in our mountain communities. It is my sincere hope that your kindness will help solidify these victims' resolve to make a better life for themselves, their children, and their pets.
I have personally lived through a volatile relationship and found a way out and into a much healthier, happier, and safer life. My situation was not life threatening, and I was fortunate to have the support of my family, but many people in awful and dangerous domestic situations don't have anyone to turn to for help. That is why the work MPS does is so important and so necessary- and so dear to my heart.
The result of your generosity this season was a $700.00 cash gift to MPS collected from Christmas stockings, gnomes, potholders, and cash donations as well as a giant load of supplies donated by Essence and Nick's pro fitness clients.
