Letter from the Director, Gary Kenney
2019 was a record year for the Safe Harbor of Erin. We reached a new milestone in Client Service, retaining intakes and seeing men complete and graduate the program. That’s a testament to the commitment and compassion of our staff, partner agencies, supporters, and volunteers.

Our Leaders at corporate have invested quality time providing operational standards and policies that has helped us greatly in providing excellent service and care for our clients. Our facility is honored to be recognized as the Ministry of the Year, Most Graduated, completing the year with over 124 graduates. Our Transportation department with Coordinator of the year, in addition to our Reliable office with Reliable Coordinator of the Year. Thank you Lighthouse Ministries for even honoring me with Pastor of the Year.

The question is now, where do we go from here? This is the time of year where we take a moment to evaluate our success over the past year and identify areas where we can improve.

Thank you for making 2019 a remarkable year! Our dedicated staff has done an incredible job of expanding services to our clients while strengthening our current programs and services. In 2020 we will make available to the clients Adult Education Services, such High School completion to continuing education services after receiving a diploma.

Thank you to all our community churches, businesses, and volunteers for wholeheartedly being a part of Safe Harbor Erin. We are looking forward to much more in 2020!

Sincerely,
Gary Kenney
Program Director

Client of the Quarter - Toyal Crawford
My name is Toyal W. Crawford. I started at a young age involved in church, singing for Christ. As life continued on as a teenager I strayed away from Christ and became involved with the wrong people. Then at the age of 16, I met a beautiful girl that I am still blessed to have in my life with two beautiful daughters. When I became 18 years old, drinking became a major problem in my life, but God gave me another chance.

I did not appreciate the things he did for me, and I started back drinking until the age of 30 years old. I gave up alcohol for 17 years at the age of 47. I relapsed on alcohol and started using cocaine as well. This last time around my life had become miserable due to alcohol and crack cocaine.

I take this time out to thank God for giving me another chance, and Safe Harbor of Erin for believing in me to give me a second time around. If it had not been for the staff of Safe Harbor of Erin, I would not be here today.
A Look Around Erin
Thank you Pastor Scott for giving us a message on the birth of Jesus and the hope that came into the world on that day..Amen!

Safe Harbor Erin had 17 men take the step of baptism December 22!
Our own Joseph Messer gave a moving word Sunday night on " Our Hearts, His Pleasure". What a powerful encounter with our Father. Over 15 new Salvations.
Listening to one of our Clarksville graduates, Michael Cameron, share his testimony and field questions from current clients... Priceless!
Pastor Scott explains his recent stay at the Hospital and is very transparent with the guys about his struggles and his healing of a very rare cancer. Yet takes a word from Jeremiah 18:4 "And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it".....Amen!
A special shout out to the ladies from the Houston Co. Health Dept. who took the time to come to our facility here in Erin to administer free flu and hep a vaccines to the clients. Thank you Houston County for all you do for Safe Harbor Erin.
Thank you Pastor Benny for the great word on truth, and Client Toyal Crawford with that anointed voice ushering in the moving of the Spirit...Amen!
Re-dedications and first time decisions today!
Spotlight Staff of the Quarter - George Vanzandenberg
George started as a program Coordinator with Safe Harbor of Little Rock AR, working with Pastor Charles Simms. He was very sufficient in his role processing clients who came to the program through Probation services. As George developed and grew with the ministry he was asked to move to Clarksville, Tennessee facility as the program coordinator working with then Pastor Gary Kenny.

During his time in Clarksville, he not only was proficient at program duties, he learned and became very well versed with our collaboration software program Podio. Moving on in his time with Safe Harbor, George was given the opportunity to relocate to another one of our facilities located in Nashville. There he worked as the Program Chaplain. As Chaplain he exhibited his love for God and was passionate when he expressed himself during chapel services. His commitment to his faith he always shared with the clients and staff.

Later as a new Safe Harbor opened in Erin Tennessee, again George heeded the call to assist with the needed personnel to staff our new Facility in Erin. Today he has become a well-groomed professional at his job, and because of his excellence at what he does the Erin team stands now as a top-rated facility.
